Tired of Orchid?

I have more orchid pictures to share. Actually these two are AK's again. He will bring more blooming ones to office, so I can take the pictures. He has a super shiny green thumb.

And here are the items I uploaded to my shop last night.

My husband loves orchids! He can't get them to bloom though, lol. I love your new items!

Thanks, Galeana. My friend AK is from Malaysia, and he basically grew up with orchids. He had about 400 species orchids when he was 15-year-old! He got me into growing orchids, and taught me a lot. Some orchids are very picky, but if you can manage to mimic their original growing environment, they will reward you with loads of long last beauties.

Such gorgeous flowers! I'm terrible with plants, but have been thinking about getting an orchid---I hear that they aren't as much work as I orignially expected? We'll see.

Dear margaret,
Some orchids are actually very easy to grow. The common one that you can see in almost any store is the Moth Orchid, Phaelenopsis. They are sold with gorgeous flowers, and if you sit it on top of pebbles in a water tray, don't let water reach the pot though, and mist it a couple of times if your house is really dry, the flowers can last really long time. And after the flowers are gone, don't cut the spike, sometime it will shoot out some branches and give you second batch of flowers. One of mine has been in bloom for about 9 months now! Good luck.

Yeah! I cannot never get tired of Orchids either. But my DH is a different case. He doesn't know much of plants, and he only appreciated my plants when they were blooming. Other times, he actually wanted me to get rid of some of them. NO WAY! But he did enjoyed my big cymbidium flowers a lot. I just started training him with some simple plants in his office. I do not trust him with my orchids, or jasmines, or gardenia.
